The thriller is garnering hearty applause for its taut dramatic moments and performances

After many pandemic induced delays, producer Anand Pandit’s dream project and Rumy Jafry’s directorial ‘Chehre’ hit the big screen on August 27, 2021. The buzz around the film has been building up for a while with the posters, teasers and the stunning trailer generating a lot of curiosity on social media and trade circles. After the release, this Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi starrer seems to have really struck a chord with the audiences and critics alike. With two seasoned lead actors pitting their histrionics against each other and an ensemble cast adding to the dramatic tension, this thriller about crime, retribution and justice is being loved by audiences and the critics alike.

Critics from online portals, prestigious magazines and even trade circle analysts are showering the film with unstinted praise. Here is an overview of some of the accolades:

Taran Adarsh: #Chehre opts for an unconventional theme, which tends to get verbose and talk-heavy after a point… But the plusses outnumber the minusses here, especially the moments between #AmitabhBachchan, #EmraanHashmi and #AnnuKapoor… Also, the climax twist is a big plus. #ChehreReview

Joginder Tuteja: The mood. The lighting. The ambience. There are some films that necessitate a concentrated viewing experience. No breaks. No interruptions. No interference. Just the magic of the BIG SCREEN with a bag of popcorn. #Chehre is one such film @SrBachchan @emraanhashmi @anandpandit63
