It’s a walk down memory lane this weekend on Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol Season 12

Sit back, relax and get ready to enjoy a musical evening with Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol Season 12. Judged by Anu Malik and Himesh Reshammiya and hosted by Aditya Narayan, the upcoming weekend episode will be a 90’s themed special episode graced by legendary guest judges – Kumar Sanu, Anuradha Paudwal along with ace music director Roop Kumar Rathod. Not only this, all the contestants will sing popular songs of that era as a tribute to Shravanji from the Nadeem-Shravan duo. Contestants Nihal and Aashish made the judges and special guests nostalgic about their time with Shravanji by singing Main Duniya Bhula Dunga and Ab Tere Bin Jee Lenge Hum.

Talking about the performance Kumar Sanu said, “Your performance was tremendous! It won my heart and made me nostalgic. Sharavanji was a great man and an outstanding personality and I have some great memories with him. Both of you have a bright future ahead in the music industry and I wish you’ll, Best of Luck.”

On the other hand, Anu Malik revealed some interesting facts about Anuradha Paudwal and Mohammed Rafi Sahab. He went on to say, “When I was young, I had composed and recorded a song for Rafi Sahab and Anuradhaji. Due to some reason, I was unable to release it but I take this opportunity and promise myself in front of Anuradhaji that I will release the song soon.” To which Anuradhaji smiled and said, “I have vivid memories of those times when we all came together and did a fabulous job on the song. I will be looking forward to it.”
