Shreyas Talpade’s Nine Rāsā extends support to the Theatre fraternity with a unique idea

• Revenues generated will go towards the cast and crew of the show and Theatre community.

It has been a month since Shreyas Talpade launched ‘Nine Rāsā’ an App exclusively for Theatre and Performing Arts. Since its launch, the platform has gained good traction and audiences are liking the content that is available on it. The platform has already created jobs & provided monetary help to over 1500 people from the theatre fraternity during the lockdown.

Taking a step further, Shreyas Talpade and Nine Rāsā have further extended their support to the theatre fraternity with a very unique idea. Nine Rāsā has started an exclusive catalogue through which clubs or groups can organize a joint screening of plays. The plays can be enjoyed sitting in the comfort of their homes and a sizeable percentage of the revenue will go to the cast and crew of the show. Not only that, the remaining percentage will go towards the needy from the Theatre Community. Nine Rāsā can also intends to organise a special online chat with the cast and crew after the play.

Commenting on the same Shreyas Talpade said, “We started Nine Rāsā with the intention to help the theatre community during lockdown last year. This year again they are facing the same consequences because of the virus. It is for situations like these that the exclusively shot content should come to the rescue. We are entertainers and hence intend to generate revenue by entertaining our beloved audience. I hope people become a part of this initiative in large numbers thereby contributing to this noble cause. I also request people to be safe and take care of their loved ones in these difficult times.”

Nine Rãsã offers content in multiple variations including plays, skits, storytelling, stand-up across genres. The platform is available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati and English and plans to regularly introduce other languages to match the preferences of every audience set. The platform also ensures that there is no dearth of entertainment-rich content; it already has 100+ hours of pre-created original content, exclusively for Nine Rãsã, which is ready to go live in a phase-wise manner. The team is also already geared up to initiate a shoot for an additional 120 hours of content
