Chandan Roy Sanyal to play a deadly villain in Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Sanak
After actively headlining content-driven ventures, Chandan Roy Sanyal signed Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Sanak, an action-thriller. The powerhouse performer will be seen essaying the role of a deadly villain in Shah’s production. Chandan is currently shooting for the highly anticipated film in Madh Island, Mumbai now.
The talented actor has essayed dark roles earlier in the digital series Kaali and Aashram, but this is the first time he will be embodying the role of an out-and-out villain. Chandan’s upcoming film chronicles the journey of a lone hero battling several odds. What remains to be seen is how the Aashram actor occupies the narrative. The actor will be seen collaborating with Vidyut Jammwal, Neha Dhupia and Rukmini Maitra. He has earlier starred in films such as Kaminey, Chef, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Jabariya Jodi and Manto.
Talking about his role, Chandan says, “Performing the role of an antagonist is challenging and super fun. In the real world, we’re expected to be compassionate and good people; that’s how we’re brought up. Through this movie, I have the opportunity to be selfish, manipulative and cunning. The experience of being this evil person on screen is enjoyable and it makes me appreciate the joys of the real world. It is a role that every actor vies for.”
Apart from Sanak, Chandan has a few exciting projects that will be announced soon.
