Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival is nearing and like every year, this year too, the grand and most prestigious award ceremony is expected to be full of revolutionary, big wins and memorable moments. But before that day dawns, today a press conference was held in Mumbai to give a head-start to the awards this year.
Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2021 will be held on February 20th 2021. And like every year, it will be celebrating the grandeur of Indian Cinema to continue the legacy of Dadasaheb Phalke. At the Press Conference, Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival proudly revealed the integration of ten reputed Tourisms of India for this award ceremony. It includes Maharashtra Tourism, Punjab Tourism, Assam Tourism, Rajasthan Tourism, Gujarat Tourism, Jharkhand Tourism, Chhattisgarh Tourism, Madhya Pradesh Tourism, Odisha Tourism and Himachal Pradesh Tourism. For the first time in history of entertainment industry, ten reputed tourisms are associated for an award ceremony.
The Deputy Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism expressed that Post lockdown Madhya Pradesh Film Facilitation Cell have got approximate 70 project inquiries including feature film, Web Series, TV Serial and Documentary. Over 15 project shoots are completed and almost 15 project shootings are being performed in the state. Durgamati and Gullak 2 are the projects which have got released recently and were shot in M.P. completely.
The State has a talent pool of actors, producers, directors, writers including competent line producers. The low production cost, favourable weather condition, central location and efficiency in quick permissions and hand holding enhances State’s attractiveness as a film destination. Youngsters are focusing their career in film making industry on a large scale and we have a provision to encourage and improve institutes like acting / direction / script writing schools, animation, camera techniques etc. In nutshell films are simpler way to provide entertainment by creating employment with social, cultural & infrastructural development all together and we welcome film makers in the state for easy and quicker permissions and support as per Madhya Pradesh Film Tourism Policy 2020.

At the Press Conference, one of the Special Award Category “Most Versatile Actor” was unveiled and felicitated to Kay Kay Menon for his profound work and contribution for last 3 decades to the Indian Film fraternity. The Press Conference was followed with Panel Discussion in which renowned delegates from the Entertainment Industry, highlighted the Impact of Global Pandemic to the Cinema at large.
On the ocassion, Shri CS Pusalkar said, “First of all I’m very emotional, wherever my grandfather would be, he would have a smile on his face, and fulll marks to Anil Ji Mishra, Abhishek and his young, vibrant dynamic team and all of you. Because, I’m very proud to be associated with these people, they’re very transparent, because so far what I’ve seen, Phalke has become a grand name and they’re making money out of it, which I’m not liking but Anil Ji told me, don’t worry about it, we are there and now I’m associated with them and it is next to a lifetime achievement award.”
