Sonu Nigam who has been virtually living out of a suit case for the past many months due to his shows and concerts all over the world, finally took out some ‘Me-time’ by going on a trip with his childhood friends to Himachal Pradesh.

Their group travelled to Kasol, Tosh Village, malana and parashar lake to name a few places and will be spending a few more days in the Himachal before concluding the trip. Incidentally, a trip that was to be a break from shows and concerts for Sonu, ended up in him doing an impromptu show at a restaurant, adds a source, “While in Kasol, Sonu along with his friends was dining at a local restaurant which had a live band performing. The lead singer, unaware of Sonu’s presence, as he was trying not to attract attention, started singing ‘Yeh dil deewana’ from Pardes. Much to everyone’s surprise Sonu walked onto the stage at started singing alongside, causing a proverbial stampede. People from in and around rushed into the restaurant and started clicking pictures and videos which Sonu patiently obliged them with. It was a beautiful evening which tur ed into an unforgettable one.”

The next day, as word spread that Sonu was in town and performed at the local restaurant, people thronged to the eatery to see him again. As soon as he heard about people waiting to see him, Nigam went again and performed for the second time at the restaurant enthralling the crowds who had come from other near by villages as well to catch a glimpse of Sonu performing live.

The source further adds, that Sonu has always desired to travel the world, which he has for professional commitments. But the singer now wishes to take a break at times for just leisure, “Sonu has always loved travelling and exploring places, cultures and the diversity the world has to offer. Due to the time constraints during concerts, he doesn’t get time to soak in the place and it’s something he wants especially make time for. He has been spending a lot of his free time travelling to various destinations all over the globe and wishes to continuously explore the world. He believes there is nothing that can open your mind up like travel and people should look at how beautiful the world is rather than be spending hours and days on social media.” the source concludes.
