Shabina Khan on Urvashi Rautela’s dance no. in ‘Ek Diamond Da Haar’:
“It is a wonderful feeling to see an artist do justice to your vision”, says choreographer Shabina Khan who has choreographed numerous songs in Bollywood and is best known for the title track of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo’ starring Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor. And well, we all remember Sonam’s portrayal of love in the beautiful steps that Shabina had choreographed.
Just recently, Shabina Khan reunited with actress Urvashi Rautela for a music number ‘Ek Diamond Da Haar’, and the music video has been heartily appreciated by the audience making it one of the popular wedding songs.
The choreographer-actor duo have worked in the past too and given us some major magical moves to groove on. With ‘Tera Bimar Mera Dil’ from the film Pagalpanti the duo gave tribute to late Sri Devi. With the song, Shabina introduced the age old dance form Raqs Sharqi to Bollywood and the dance number was very well received.
Talking about ,Ek Diamond Da Haar’, the choreographer added, “I have worked with Urvashi in the past and she is a brilliant dancer, I feel she is extremely hardworking and effortless and brings my work to life beautifully. I have kept the steps relatively easy so that everyone can dance their heart out, especially in weddings. Choreography is an art and it is amazing to see your vision come to life. I feel so grateful and overwhelmed when artists really put their 100% and do justice to my piece of art with their remarkable performance”.
The year 2020 is going to be an absolute busy year for Shabina Khan as she has a lot of projects lined up, which means we will get more groovy moves to deliver on the dance floor!
Her biggest upcoming project ‘Radhe’ will be with the mega superstar Salman Khan and directed by Prabhu Deva. Some more projects from her line-up are ‘Laila Manju’ directed by Prem Soni, ‘Hacked’ starring Hina Khan and ‘See You in Court’ a Vikram Bhatt directorial starring Daisy Shah.
Well, we are very excited to see what the dance artist has to offer and we wish the choreographer the very best for her upcoming work.
