Kangana Ranaut’s fans arrange a special screening of Manikarnika for underprivileged children
Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika recently crossed the 100 cr mark at the domestic box office, and has been garnering praise from all quarters. But apart from the monetary achievements and positive critique, the film created history in a unique manner today.
While speaking to the media during promotions of Manikarnika, Kangana had mentioned that she wished that all children would see the film, understand the struggle that went behind achieving independent India, grow up learning stories of our heroes and appreciate the freedom we enjoy.
To honour her wish, Kangana Ranaut’s fans worldwide got together and arranged a special screening for 250 children from slums and orphanages in Bengaluru. What made the screening exceptional was the fact that it was the first time those children were ever watching a film in a movie theatre. Fans from across the globe pitched in to pay for the expenses of the screening, and even gifted stationary items to the children. The young audience truly appreciated the experience and all through the screening, chants of Rani Laxmi Bai Ki Jai were reverberating in the theatre. The actress herself shared a message to thank her fans for the one of a kind event.
