From raincoats to anti-frizz serums: Sony SAB artists share their monsoon must-haves for staying stylish and prepared

Monsoon brings with it pleasant weather, unexpected showers and the need to be prepared while stepping out. From practical wardrobe staples to beauty essentials that help tackle the season, everyone has their own rainy-day must-haves. Celebrating the season, Sony SAB artists Deeksha Joshi, Muskan Bamne, Karuna Pandey, Gulki Joshi and Toral Rasputra reveal the monsoon essentials they never leave home without and why these simple items have become a part of their everyday routine.

Whether it’s staying dry during sudden downpours, keeping frizz under control, or choosing the right footwear, the artists share the essentials that help them enjoy the monsoon in comfort and style.

Deeksha Joshi who essays the role of Deepti in Pushpa Impossible, shared, “Monsoon is one season where comfort becomes my biggest fashion statement. I prefer breathable cotton kurtas or relaxed co-ord sets because they dry quickly and keep me comfortable throughout the day. I also avoid long hemlines and choose ankle-length outfits so they don’t get soaked. A colourful umbrella is my absolute essential, it not only protects me from the rain but also instantly brightens up the day. And waterproof flats are a must because there’s nothing worse than uncomfortable footwear during the rains.”

Muskan Bamne who essays the role Shanaya in Pushpa Impossible, shared, “I love adding colour to gloomy monsoon days. Bright shirts, cheerful dresses, and comfortable denims instantly lift my mood. I always carry a waterproof tote bag because it keeps all my essentials safe, especially while travelling to shoots. Minimal makeup, tied-up hair, and waterproof mascara have become my monsoon beauty essentials. Fashion should make you feel confident, even on the rainiest days.”

Gulki Joshi, who essays the role of Dr. Srishty Agarwal in Yaadein, shared, “The one thing I never compromise on during the monsoon is a good hair serum. Humidity can make your hair extremely frizzy, especially when you’re constantly moving around all the time. A few drops make such a big difference and help me feel put together throughout the day.”

Karuna Pandey, who essays the role of Pushpa in Pushpa Impossible, shared, “I always carry a compact umbrella that fits easily into my handbag. Mumbai weather can change within minutes, so it’s one thing I never step out without during the monsoon. It is practical, does not take up much space, and has saved me from getting drenched more times than I can count.”

Toral Rasputra, who essays the role of Kunti in Hastinapur Ke Veer, shared, “For me, the right footwear is the most important monsoon essential. I always choose something comfortable with a good grip because you’re constantly walking on wet roads and slippery surfaces. When your feet are comfortable, you can enjoy the season without worrying about the rain.”
