Rishi Saxena ‘Nagin Dance’ steals the spotlight during the shoot of the Holi sequence in Sony SAB’s Itti Si Khushi

Sony SAB’s Itti Si Khushi continues to strike an emotional chord with audiences through its rooted storytelling and slice-of-life warmth. As the narrative unfolds in the vibrant lanes of Khotachiwadi, the upcoming Holi scene promises a beautiful blend of colour, chaos, emotions and unspoken tensions within the family. Holi at Kotachiwadi becomes more than just a celebration. For Anvita (Sumbul Touqeer Khan), the festival is a reminder of the simple joys, but as colours fill the air and the neighbourhood gathers in celebration, underlying emotions between Anvita, Virat (Rajat Verma), and Sanjay (Rishi Saxena) begin to surface.

In the middle of all the celebration, the Holi madness in Khotachiwadi takes an unexpected and hilarious turn. As colours fly and dhol beats echo through the lanes, what follows is one of the most entertaining moments of the sequence as Sanjay, breaks into an uninhibited naagin dance right in the middle of the festivities. From dramatic floor moves to over-the-top expressions, the entire mohalla gathers around, cheering and enjoying as Sanjay steals the spotlight. The moment not only adds a burst of fun to the Holi track but also beautifully captures the carefree, spontaneous spirit that defines the heart of Itti Si Khushi.

Speaking about the experience, Rishi Saxena shared, “This isn’t the first time I’ve shot a Holi sequence on set, but it is definitely one of the most memorable ones. Every show approaches it differently, but what made this special was how organic and rooted it felt to our world of Khotachiwadi. People usually see Sanjay as composed and emotionally layered, so doing a full-blown naagin dance in the middle of the mohalla was completely unexpected and honestly so much fun. Festivals on screen allow you to drop your guard a little, and I really enjoyed surrendering to that madness. The atmosphere during the shoot was so lively that it felt less like work and more like a real Holi celebration.”

Tune in to watch Itti Si Khushi, every Monday to Saturday at 9 PM, only on Sony SAB
