“Jis Desh Mein Mahilaye Aage Badhti Hain, Woh Desh Bhi Badhta Hai”: Suniel Shetty on Naario on Amazon MX Player’s Bharat Ke Super Founders

Amazon MX Player, India’s leading free, premium, ad-supported video streaming service, continues to spotlight entrepreneurship powered as much by purpose as by profit through its popular reality series, Bharat Ke Super Founders. This week’s standout moment came when Suniel Shetty observed, “Jis desh ke andar mahilaye aage badhti hain, woh desh bhi badhta hai.” What unfolded was not merely a funding conversation, but a reminder that women-led enterprise can be a national growth engine.
That sentiment came alive through Naario, a millet-based snack brand founded by Anamika Pandey. The episode challenged a familiar stereotype: when women gather, their circles are often trivialised as social meetups. Naario flips that narrative. What looks like conversation can become commerce. What begins as a community can evolve into capital. Launched during the pandemic after Anamika’s mother was diagnosed with diabetes, the brand was built around healthier snack alternatives rooted in millets. But its real innovation lies in its structure. Women manufacture the products, purchase them in bulk, and resell them within their own networks, creating independent income streams and a self-sustaining ecosystem driven by collective growth.
The traction is no longer limited to community circles. Naario recently entered Ajay Devgn’s cinema chain through a strategic partnership, expanding into cinemas, cafés, and hotel chains. The move marks a clear transition from grassroots initiative to mainstream retail presence. The tycoons applauded the products for striking a rare balance between healthy and genuinely tasty, reinforcing confidence in both quality and scalability.
Recognising the strength of the model and its impact-led growth, Dr. Aarti Gupta and Nitish Mittersain each offered ₹25 lakh for 1.19% equity. Anamika accepted the combined investment, securing a total deal of ₹50 lakh. The moment perfectly echoed Suniel Shetty’s belief in the most tangible way possible: when women move forward, the country moves forward with them.
Bharat Ke Super Founders is now streaming for free on Amazon MX Player, available across the MX Player app, Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV, and connected TVs, with final episodes dropping this Friday and Saturday.
