Farhan Akhtar’s Heartfelt Gesture: Gifts Manav an Autographed T-Shirt for Singing His Song on Indian Idol

This weekend’s episode of Indian Idol turned into a heartwarming celebration of music, memories, and milestones as the show paid tribute to 25 glorious years of Farhan Akhtar.

Among the night’s standout moments was contestant Manav’s electrifying performance on one of Farhan’s most iconic tracks ‘Slow Motion’. With boundless energy and his signature cheerful vibe, Manav took on a song originally sung by Sukhwinder Singh, from Farhan’s unforgettable film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag — a movie that itself completes 10 years this year.

Shreya Ghoshal, visibly impressed, shared her thoughts, “That was such a difficult song to sing! Sukhi Paji’s songs are always incredible, but you have this rare gift — whatever you sing, you make it your own. You always leave your stamp of originality.”

Manav clearly overwhelmed. But the surprise of the evening came next — from the man of the moment himself. Farhan Akhtar, moved by Manav’s rendition, said with a smile, “Only Sukhiji can do what he does, but you brought your own joy and energy to the song. You’re such a happy boy.” Then, in a touching gesture that melted hearts on set, Farhan added, “I have a small gift for you.” He then handed Manav a special T-shirt — personally autographed by him — commemorating the 10-year anniversary of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
