Ishankk Salluja surprises fans with his first-ever Sardar look in Vasudha

Zee TV’s Vasudha has been keeping audiences hooked with its gripping narrative filled with love, loyalty, and hidden motives. As the story progresses, viewers are in for a major twist when Avinash (Ishankk Salluja) and Vasudha (Priya Thakur) take matters into their own hands to uncover the truth behind Megha’s (Mandeep Kaur) intentions. With the Chauhan family placing complete trust in Megha as the prospective bride for Devansh (Abhishek Sharma), Vasudha and Avinash set out on a secret mission—one that demands not just courage, but a disguise.

In a striking and unexpected turn of events, Avinash and Vasudha go undercover, with Avinash disguising himself as a Sardar to get closer to the truth. What makes this sequence especially impactful is Ishankk Salluja’s complete transformation—sporting a full beard, traditional turban, and an unmistakable Punjabi swag. It’s a first in his on-screen career and a far different look from his usual, making it a standout moment in the show. The transformation wasn’t just cosmetic. Ishankk dove deep into the preparation, fine-tuning his dialect, understanding cultural nuances, and working closely with the costume and makeup teams to ensure every detail felt authentic. His commitment to getting it right brought a new layer of realism and depth to Avinash’s character.

Speaking about his transformation, Ishankk Salluja said, “Slipping into the disguise of a Sardar for this sequence was exciting and very different from anything I’ve done before in Vasudha. In fact, this is the first time in my career that I am portraying the role of a Sardar on screen, which made the experience even more special. What made it more meaningful is that it was a decision driven by Avinash’s love for his family. The look, the mannerisms, everything was planned carefully to ensure the audience believes in this transformation.”

He added, “Being Punjabi myself and having close Sikh friends really helped; spending time with them and observing their unique energy and way of speaking allowed me to bring more authenticity to the role. It challenged me as an actor because it pushed me out of my comfort zone, both visually and emotionally. I hope viewers enjoy this new layer to Avinash because it truly reflects how far he’s willing to go to protect those he cares about.”

As the suspense continues to build in the upcoming episodes, Vasudha promises a rollercoaster of emotions and high-stakes drama. Will Avinash and Vasudha succeed in exposing Megha’s true colors before it’s too late?
