From being a guru to now turning shishya; it takes immense strength to start all over again’, says India’s Best Dancer Judge Geeta Kapoor to Contestant Akshay Pal

This Saturday, Sony Entertainment Television’s homegrown dance reality show, India’s Best Dancer 3, is all set to captivate the audience with a heartwarming episode that celebrates ‘Guru Poornima’. The contestants, along with their choreographers, will perform some heart-warming acts that bring alive the profound and sacred ‘guru-shishya’ bond.

One of the standout performances of the episode will be that of contestant Akshay Pal, along with his choreographer Amardeep Singh Natt. Their act, to the song “Main Yahan Tu Wahan” from the film Baghban will shine as a unique performance, shedding light on the multifaceted relationship between a Guru and their Shishya, leaving the judges awestruck!

Praising Akshay’s remarkable journey, Judge Geeta Kapur exclaimed, “The credit goes to Amardeep, the mastermind behind this act. His innovative thinking and a fresh mindset brought forth a choreography that left me emotional and awestruck. Akshay, you are an outstanding performer. This Guru Poornima, I want to highlight your transition from being a Shishya to a Guru, and now back again to being a shishya. It takes immense strength to start all over again and I want to applaud you for that. Your performance and hard work truly deserve this accolade.”

Additionally, Guru Poornima went on to become a special occasion for Akshay Pal, as his fans and Amardeep’s dance students joined him on stage. Together with Akshay, the talented kids delivered a mind-blowing performance on the popular track “Dhoom Machale,”, with Akshay choreographing the act.
