5 reasons why Kanha is just like every child!

5 reasons why Kanha is just like every child!

Kanha as a relatable and celebrated character is emphasized through most tales that he is depicted in. We’ve literally listened to and grown up with him through the many phases / stages of his life – be it via his stories or personas on-screen. And while we are able to envision actually knowing him and connecting with him, there are many characteristics that would make any child of any generation say – hey, that’s me!

As Sonic brings these stories to life with their latest series Kanha – Morpankh Samraat, here are the reasons why we think Kanha is no different than any kid out there!

His relationship with his mother

The relationship between Yashoda and Kanha is one of the most celebrated mother-son relationships of all time. It’s emotional, nurturing, safe but also playful and fun-loving – like any such relationship. Every child has gotten their ears pulled, and tried to hide from getting punished but we’ve also been fed to our hearts content by our mums! Adolescent Kanha is truly “The apple of every mother’s eye” but the relationship he shared with his mother is nothing less than pure.

His friends are his life

Kanha cherished his friends more than life itself…we’ve all heard of his stories with Sudama. And as we go through life, everyone, children included create special bonds – bonds they would fight the world for…just like Kanha. So, who is your Sudama?

Natkhat aka Playful / Mischievous

Pulling playful pranks on friends, being mischievous with villagers, teasing Radha every now and then, or gathering his friends to get to get his maakhan from a matka stowed at a height – Kanha, is famously known for his playful nature. We’ve all been there, done that, haven’t we? Children often relate to this aspect of Kanha and rightfully so!

He had a sweet tooth / Foodie

The stories of Kanha’s love for maakhan transcends boundaries. It is common knowledge, across the world, that Lord Krishna loved good food. His nickname ‘maakhan chor’ describes this love perfectly. As a matter of fact, there is not much distinction between our moms’ hiding treats and chocolates and Yashoda Maiya stowing away makhan…don’t you think?

His love for animals

Kanha had a deep affection for animals. He would, very lovingly, take care of the cows in his village – playing with them and releasing them to let them run loose! Children who love animals and show compassion towards them can relate to Lord Kanha’s love for animals.

Showcasing his playful and mischievous antics, ‘Kanha – Morpankh Samraat’ is a captivating mythological series that chronicles the evergreen tales of the adolescent Kanha, and traces his journey as a son, warrior, hero, and friend. Each episode showcases a legendary tale from Kanha’s life, featuring his courageous acts and his lessons on love and kindness. Watch Kanha – Morpankh Samraat on Sonic, every day at 10.30 am.
