‘Anupamaa’: Anupamaa is surprised to see her name on the invitation card 

The first mahaepisode of Rajan and Deepa Shahi’s “Anupamaa” came with some interesting twists. 

The one hour episode started with Anupamaa returning the pearls to Baa and assuring her that she will fix it for her, but Baa instead questioned her on getting a cheque from Anuj. Anupamaa told her that she has taken a loan from Anuj and she will pay it back from her salary. Vanraj was quick to ask her why she didn’t tell him about the cheque when they were coming from Mumbai, to which Anupamaa said that she was afraid that it might have led to an unwanted conversation all through the way. 

Later, Kinjal tells Anupamaa that Rohan is trying to create problems for Nandini and Samar. She showed her the photos but Anupamaa quickly burned them. Meanwhile, Rohan comes with some goons and attacks Samar in the academy. But when Anupamaa reaches the academy they don’t tell her anything, but Anupamaa promises that she will keep them out of trouble. 

Anupamaa then gets a call from Babuji and leaves immediately. Vanraj asks Samar about Anupamaa’s whereabouts but couldn’t get an answer. Anupamaa then reaches Anuj’s home and finds Babuji playing chess with Gopi Kaka. Anuj then surprises her with the invitation card to the bhoomi-poojan of their new venture. Anupamaa is in happy tears to see her name on the card and remembers the time when Vanraj had got an invitation card printed for Pakhi’s birthday but there was no mention of her. 

Gopi kaka then asks her to make some halwa there and Anupamaa makes it in their home. But when she reaches home she sees Vanraj waiting for her at the door ready to shoot questions. But Babuji stopped him and said he was the one who called her to Anuj’s house. He then calls everyone in the house in the living room and asks Anupamaa to share the good news. When Anupamaa shows Baa the invitation card, Baa gets angry and even questions her on cooking in some other man’s kitchen.
