Bollywood Actor Jackie Shroff and Director Subhash Ghai Tell IIM Mumbai Students To Be Wiser Humans Before Winners in Life

Mumbai witnessed an unexpected crossover with our Bhidu aka Jackie Shroff, Subhash Ghai, and IIM Mumbai’s students at (their annual fest) Avartan 2025. Instantly turning the campus talking about life, advice, “power of cinema” – they set the campus into a buzzing wave of cheers, laughter, and pure fan frenzy.

When a student very honestly asked Jackie and Subash for life advice out of the B-school, they said – being better humans is always the first step towards initiating a successful career, and life, in general. Jackie Shroff in his forever cool avatar said, “Dil saaf rakh, simple hai”, while Subhash Ghai dropped his surreal view saying “a man attracts through his soul, not knowledge”.

While the session was supposed to be a primary discussion on all things Bollywood, soon they changed their wisdom into words which were unforgettable for students. All the happy faces sincerely took inspiration from men who have whole-heartedly contributed to the cinema for years.

With today marking the last of Avartan 2025, where raw advice and experience meets growth and creativity, such diverse experiences for students reflects how entertainment, media and business are standing strong together in India.
