For the first time, twins Surabhi and Samriddhi Mehra compete separately in Zee TV’s upcoming show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon

Continuing its legacy of bringing groundbreaking non-fiction formats that reflect India’s cultural richness and emotional depth, Zee TV is all set to launch a refreshingly unique reality show — Chhoriyan Chali Gaon. The show bridges the gap between “India” and “Bharat,” as it brings together 11 independent women who leave behind the fast-paced luxuries of their urban lives to spend over 60 days in a rural Indian village. With no access to gadgets, conveniences, or shortcuts, the participants will take on real village chores, adapt to a slower, grounded lifestyle, and immerse themselves in the age-old wisdom of rural living. Anchored in three strong storytelling pillars — Rural Survival & Adaptation, Cultural Immersion & Emotional Growth, and Competition & Social Strategy — Chhoriyan Chali Gaon promises to be as emotionally moving as it is socially reflective.

At the heart of this transformative journey is Rannvijay Singha, who brings his trademark calm, insight, and flair for authentic storytelling to the show, playing the roles of host, mentor, and steady motivator. Adding a fresh and youthful energy to the lineup are popular content creators and twin sisters Surabhi and Samriddhi Mehra, widely known as Chinki Minki. Recently, Surabhi and Samriddhi stirred up quite a buzz with their cryptic social media post: “With a heavy heart, we are parting ways now as Jodi. We’ve decided to explore life on our individual journeys from here on.”
Naturally, it sparked a wave of speculation among fans and media alike.

A few days later, they surprised everyone by announcing their participation in Zee TV’s upcoming reality show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon — this time, not as a duo but as individual contestants for the very first time.

Surabhi Mehra said, “I’ve always lived life in the fast lane—surrounded by packed schedules, and the constant buzz of city living. My world has revolved around different shift routines, shoot, and the need to always stay connected. So when Chhoriyan Chali Gaon came my way, I was both excited and nervous about leaving that behind. Living in a village without the usual gadgets, Wi-Fi, or the city’s energy will be a big shift, but that’s exactly what drew me in. What makes it even more special is doing this with my twin sister—we’ve always supported each other, but this experience will test and teach us in new ways. I see this show as a pause button—an opportunity to reflect, reconnect, and experience something completely real.”

Samriddhi Mehra said, “We often talk about stepping outside our comfort zones—but Chhoriyan Chali Gaon is my chance to actually live that truth. I’ve grown up in a world that’s fast-paced, screen-led, and built around validation. This show is more than a new setting—it’s a complete mindset shift. It forces you to slow down, look inward, and truly adapt. I know the journey won’t be easy—but I’m not here for easy, I’m here for real. Having my twin sister by my side means we’ll be discovering new sides of ourselves together. I’m excited for the unexpected moments, the simple routines, and everything this journey will teach us. I’m really looking forward to the experience.”

With Chhoriyan Chali Gaon set to premiere soon, viewers can look forward to a deeply human journey filled with courage, heartfelt emotion, and unfiltered strength, as 11 remarkable women embrace the grit and grace of village life.

Tune in to Zee TV’s Chhoriyan Chali Gaon – where fast lives slow down and stories touch the soul!
