Metro In Dino Review | ‘Ride The Rhythm Of Music & Love..’

Metro In Dino Review | ‘Ride The Rhythm Of Music & Love..’

RJ #DivyaSolgama (4/5)

Music is the divine way to tell beautiful, poetic things to the heart’ by Pablo Casals or ‘Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent’ by Victor Hugo are perfect quotes to capture the essence of this musical love saga by #AnuragBasu.

Anurag beautifully presents his characters through his sense of music and makes you part of their worlds. The first half of the film is like a breezy ride with loads of musical conversations and character introductions. The second half has some of the best songs and some fabulous, heartfelt scenes.

Some key scenes, such as the musical narrative introduction describing the stories of the characters, Ali and Fatima discussing their future, Pankaj and Konkona’s virtual chat followed by Sara and Aditya discussing their love lives, Konkona’s outburst on Neena Gupta, Pankaj trying to woo Konkona, and Neena and Anupam’s chat, among a few more, stand out. These scenes keep you glued to the film and its light narrative.

The music by #Pritam and #Papon is like an additional screenplay, full of heart. There are almost a dozen songs, out of which ‘Zamana Lage’, ‘Mann Ye Mera’, ‘Dil Ka Kya’, ‘Aur Mohabbat Kitni Karoon’, ‘Dhageena Tina Dhin’, ‘Tumhe Khoke’, ‘Yaad’, and ‘Pyar Hi Pyar’ are amazing on a different level

On the flip side, the length is a bit of an issue, followed by couple of stories were a little stretched.

The performances by #AnupamKher, #NeenaGupta, #PankajTripathi, #KonkonaSenSharma, and #FatimaSanaShaikh are top-notch. #AliFazal and Ad#yaRoyKapur justify their characters.

If music is your food then this is your feast to enjoy.
