Desh Ki Shaan – Manu Bhaker, India’s first female shooter to have won two bronze medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, and Aman Sehrawat, the youngest Indian to win an individual Olympic medal in freestyle wrestling, will both recount their historic path to victory on KBC.

In a grand celebration, the duo will be greeted with a standing ovation and resounding cheers of ‘India’. These 2024 Paris Olympics heroes will sit on the iconic ‘hotseat’ to support their NGOs while sharing their groundbreaking journeys of perseverance and triumph. For these champions, appearing on KBC is a dream come true; meeting the legendary Amitabh Bachchan and participating in the show adds an exhilarating new chapter to their already impressive stories, blending their athletic achievements with the joy of engaging with a platform that has inspired generations.

Reflecting on her journey, Bharat Ki Beti Manu Bhaker, accompanied by her parents on KBC, shared that after 8.5 years of dedication, standing on the Olympic podium felt like her entire journey was replayed in just 8 seconds. Amitabh Bachchan responded with admiration, saying, “Aapne desh ki dilon ko jeet liya” Manu also emphasized the importance of strong fundamentals in shooting, noting that shooters must remain calm and expressionless, a skill that takes considerable time to master, piquing Mr. Bachchan’s curiosity. Additionally, Manu revealed that her interest in sports was inspired by hearing about prominent figures like Mary Kom and PV Sindhu, which fueled her passion for the Olympics.

When Amitabh Bachchan asked Aman Sehrawat about winning his first Olympic medal, Aman shared that former wrestler Sushil Kumar inspired his dream of standing on the Olympic podium. His achievement was made even more significant by his 10-0 victory over a wrestler who had previously defeated him by the same score in an earlier bout, highlighting his resilience and commitment to his sport. Aman also attributed his success to his rigorous preparation and the support of his brother, Sagar and coach, who joined him at KBC.

Adding a playful twist to the episode, Aman Sehrawat joked that his appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati was a rare opportunity to wear a suit, humorously asking Amitabh Bachchan for his thoughts on his dapper look. Meanwhile, Manu Bhaker added to the fun by quoting one of Mr. Bachchan’s famous line, “Parampara, Pratishtha, Anushasan,” from the movie Mohabbatein, which compelled one and all to smile.
