Award winning composer Bappi Lahiri introduces superstar Rituparna Sengupta as a singer, records a song titled “Phoolmati” slated to release this Durga Puja

A melodious surprise awaits to brighten your festivities. Legendary singer and composer Bappi Lahiri introduces superstar Rituparna Sengupta as a singer on the occasion of Durga Puja and sings along too.

He recently recorded a duet song with her titled “Phoolmati”, a popular song with a folk tune perfect to match the spirit of our very own Ma Durga.

Actress Rituparna Sengupta says “I love to sing. I have always had a knack for singing. I have sang Tagore songs Ranindra Sangeet in some movies but never recorded a wonderful unique piece like this on a tune given by Bappi Da. When Bappi Da came up with the song to record with me, I knew Its the best opportunity for me to discover the singer in me”
