This weekend, The Kapil Sharma Show will celebrate Independence Day special and welcome the popular music composers Salim and Sulaiman Merchant on the show. The duo will be seen having a fun time chatting and laughing with Kapil Sharma and will also share some lesser known facts and anecdotes of their careers and life as well. They will answer a lot of fun and interesting questions by Kapil. Moreover, Salim will also give an insight into sharing the actual reason behind opting for singing as a career option over acting, on the show. The audience will witness a fun and interactive episode with the Music Mavericks. Followed by tomorrow, the set will be graced by the actors who are synonymous to versatility from every aspect – Kunal Khemu, Rasika Duggal and Ranvir Shorey. The actors who were seen in the recently released movie Lootcase, will be seen having a fun time with the ace comedian.

Salim and Sulaiman Merchant dint speak to each other for 5 years

Kapil was keen to know from the brothers, secret behind maintaining such a strong bond since decades and whether they ever got into a serious fight or not… to which Salim replied, “Yes, we fought in our childhood due to a very silly reason, I tore one of Sulaiman’s books and in return he broke my hand, due to which we didn’t speak to each other for like 5 years. Having said that, since then, we are together.”

Kapil added that how the song denotes feelings of the common man so beautifully, be it any victorious situation! Its not just motivating but extremely heartfelt as an emotion. When asked how they went about creating this song, Sulaiman mentioned, “The starting point was the name of the movie itself, Chak De! India. When we heard the script, we instantly felt that it demands an impactful patriotic song. So we worked on a song with a lot of depth, however, the producer of the film did not like it. He felt that the song dint fit the bill. Therefore, we went on attempting various new versions and we made around 7-8 versions of the song.” Salim further added, “The second version that we made, was quite dumdaar, with a lot of beats and the works… but it lacked soul. All the versions that followed got cancelled. Then I told Sulaiman, lets not do this movie. I felt that if we weren’t able to do justice to the movie with our compositions, then we may as well not do the movie at all. That’s when Sulaiman told me, Koshish kartein hain, kuch karte hain… kuch karte hain… And that’s how ‘kuch kariye… kuch kariye’ came about. Then we immediately contacted Jaideep Sahni, who is the writer of this film, who helped us with kuch kariye… kuch kariye… nas nas meri khole.” And rest as they say is history!

Sunday, 16th August – Lootcase

Ranveer Shorey revealed about his new look and Kunal Khemu seen playing the guitar

When asked by Kapil, if the actors come across 10 crore rupees in real like what would they do, Ranveer added that he will go mad; Rasika immediately said she will run away from that money but Kunal had an interesting perspective to share… he revealed his worry would be who will sit and count all that money!

Further, While London return Accha Yadav’s word play has everyone in splits, Ranveer talks about an interesting drink made by him – ABCG and Kunal discloses why he did serious roles after his marriage!
