As Queen celebrates six years, here’s a beautiful story on why Kangana never wanted the movie to be named Queen

The movie Queen was relatable story which celebrated a simple woman. However, the film managed not just to break box office but also Bollywood stereotypes. It went on to touch many lives and most people have very fond memories about this movie.

Queen proved to be a life changing film in Kangana’s life. For eight years, she had been waiting for a movie that recognises her as an actress and was almost convinced that this one may never hit the screens but when it did her phone would not ringing. Seeing all her hardwork and struggle finally paying off, Kangana broke down and cried for the first time in all this span.
The comedy-drama didn’t just manage to be a hit on the screens but also showcased brilliant acting by Kangana. So much so that Kangana post this movie was called the Queen of Bollywood and the name has stuck to her all this while.

Another interesting facet that was not known before today was that Kangana never wanted the movie to be named Queen and had infact argued with the director Vikas time and again. But guess, destiny too wanted Kangana too be known as Queen forever. This trivia was shared by none other than Kangana’s sister Rangoli on Twitter.

Another beautiful anecdote is that Kangana Ranaut turned into a dialogue writer for the film. To make the film more realistic, director Vikas Bahl thought it was indeed a great idea that Kanher to add her own dialogues.
